| a percussionist from Ilê Aiyê, the group known worldwide as the creator of the unique rhythmic style Samba Afro, lends the expertise of his knowledge and musicianship to the percussion section of SambaDá. Marcio has played with the band Ilê Aiyê for over 10 years, starting to play professionally when he was 14. He has also played with Bahia’s famous Timbalada as well as other Afro Blocos. Marcio brings to the stage his skills, experience and the incredible energy of these unique Afro-Brazilian beats. |
